We had an enjoyable experience at A Tea Affair, but what you pay for is really all about the experience rather than the food. The music remined me of the Bridgerton soundtrack, the tea cups and varieties of teas were unique, and the service was good, although our server only asked if we would like tea refills once. The food was okay, not exceptional. I noticed the cake we were served was the Kirkland signature tuxedo cake from Costco. It tasted good, and I understand this is a small place, but it would add to the experience if the pastries were from local bakeries, since I know there are some good ones around Lititz. It was a nice time, but just one visit will suffice for me.
Visiting family in the area. Took Mom here for Xmas high tea. Certainly enjoyed every morsel. Best part, Mom’s favorite soup is lobster bisque and she is still raving about it! Nice slow pace, waitress was excellent and served the food perfectly. Owner came over to say hello so really felt personal. Took dessert home as we had no room for it. Excellent selection of teas! We will be back. Thank you!
This is a fairytale experience! For everyone who grew up dreaming of tea parties or wanting to be a princess, this is a great event. Everything was perfectly sophisticated and beautiful! The tea selections were delicious with a great variety. And the display of sandwiches and treats had a marvelous array to choose from. We loved every moment!
Hosted my baby shower here and wow! It was such a beautiful place, the service was amazing, and the food was delicious! Alice was so kind to work with and understanding. Highly recommend and can’t wait to go back!
Enjoyed a lovely Garden Tea here today celebrating my mom's birthday. Our waitress Debbie was sweet and helpful and even put a candle on my mom's slice of chocolate cake.🥳 The chai tea and creme brulee were my favorite. Come for a relaxing and feminine experience in a lovely tearoom.
I have been here for afternoon tea twice now. I wasn't impressed by the first visit but thought I'd give it another try. The second experience was bad from start to finish.
To begin with, the owner cancelled our reservation an hour before we were to show up (I had out-of-state visitors counting on attending.) When I pushed her to reschedule, she said she could squeeze us in the next day, but throughout our whole tea, we were made to feel like we were an imposition: The servers didn't know where to seat us, didn't know any of our pre-ordered menu selections, were crabby about accommodating the allergens (even though we had given them notice/paid for gluten-free options well in advance), gave us conflicting info about which dishes contained said allergens, and then insisted on giving us ALL the (lousy) gluten-free options, even when I protested this.
No acknowledgment/apology was ever made for the inconvenience of the cancellation — as a customer, if I had cancelled, you can bet I would be charged for it! — and we still had a hefty $137 bill to pay for two adults and three children. I contacted the owner to complain and request even some level of compensation, and she didn't deign to respond, much less agree to make up for the awful experience.
So here I am, writing a negative review so that others won't make the same mistake we did of giving this place our business. What awful customer service all the way around!
I called this morning looking for a quick reservation. They were able to fit us in. I explained it was a 16th birthday celebration for me niece and our other plans fell thru. We drove an hour and a half and it was worth it. The town its in Lititz was a quaint little town. The 2 ladies at this tea room were lovely. The food was delicious and they eve brought out a little cupcake for me niece. I could go on and on. I definitely will recommend and I will definitely go back.
My wife and I went here for her birthday. Delicious food and super friendly staff. We also went and spent almost $100 at the store on main street. Every tea we bought was fantastic. Will definitely go there again.
